We went on patrol again today to get used to seeing the land and some of the key people that we should get to know. Some for their kindness and some because they are "known". We had a bit of time so we drove up to see the ruins of the castle in novo brdo. the castle was built in the 14th century. Not much left bit afew partial walls and alot of rubble.
After experiencing the roadways of Kosovo i vow that i will never bitch about a bumpy road in the US. Alot of the roads are washed away but they still drive on them. HUGE pot holes that rattle the humvee (lord only knows how cars get through them). Really put the vehicle through the paces today, crossing a river (which is fun as hell by the way) and up some old goat paths ...... i think they were roads... anyways we drove on em LOL.

oh btw, in this picture you can see my pants aren't really fitting anymore....actually they are huge on me now. :O
